1. W-I-N: 2 players/all cards are dealt face-down between players. Play with Wild Cards, too!
At the same time, each player slowly turns over 3 cards, spelling the word WIN, as they turn over each card. Which ever player has the highest numbered card on the last letter "N" wins all of the cards. Reshuffle winning cards into pile. If the last cards up are the same, you have a tie. In case of a tie, spell the word W-I-N again with another 3 cards. Whoever breaks the tie, wins those cards. If a Wild Card comes up, it always wins the hand! Continue to play until one player wins all of the cards.
2. Go Fish: 2-4 players/4 cards each/remainder cards face down in middle of the table/ The object of this game is to collect the most "pairs" (Decide before game to play for 2 cards with the same number, the same color, or the same shape). Instructions below are for playing for 2 cards with the same number.
All players look for pairs in their hands and keep them by their side. First player shows a card from their hand and asks if anyone has that "number" card. If anyone has this card, they have to give it to the player, who adds that pair of matching cards to his/her pile. If no one has the card, everyone says, "go fish", which means that the player picks another card off of the draw pile and the next player takes their turn. Continue playing until all of the cards are matched up. Player with most matching pairs wins!
3. Match Game: 2-4 players/all cards placed next to one another, face-down on table/The object of this game is to find the most matched pairs. Decide before game to play for matching numbers, shapes, or colors.
Each child takes a turn, turning 2 cards, face-up on table. If they match, (play for matching numbers, matching colors, or matching shapes), player keeps the match and takes another turn. If they do not match, the next player takes their turn. The player with the most matches, when all the cards are gone, wins!
4. Hearts are Wild: 2-4 players/all cards are dealt face-down between players/The object of this game is to be the first player to run out of cards.
First player chooses a card from their hand to place face-up in the middle of the playing surface. The next player chooses a card from their hand that matches the shape, and places it on top. Take turns. If a player can add to the pile, they do so. If the player cannot add to the pile, he/she skips their turn. OR, if a player does not have the shape played, he or she can change the shape to anything they want, by putting down a "heart." In this game a "heart" is a wild card, and can be any shape a player chooses it to be.The game continues until "the winner", runs out of cards!
5. Who's Got The Wild Card: 3-4 players/all cards are dealt, face-down between players (play game with only one Wild Card)/The object of the game is to be left holding the Wild Card!
The players sort through their cards to remove all number pairs, which they put aside. The player who starts, fans his cards in his/her hand so he can see them all. He offers them to the player on his left, who cannot see them, but takes one. If the card picked matches a numbered card in the next player's hand, the pair is taken out and placed in his/her pile of matched cards. Then, that same player, fans his/her cards and offers them to the player on their left. This continues until all the cards have been put down in pairs, except for the Wild Card. The player left holding the Wild Card, wins!
